The National Police College of Jamaica held a joint graduation on Friday September 2, 2016 for 49 participants of the Major Investigation Level Two Detective Training and Re-Orientation Courses.
The Re-Orientation Course cohort consisted of 22 participants from the Jamaica Constabulary Force. The Course seeks to provide current information to police personnel who have not been involved in active policing over an extended period of time.
The Major Investigation Level 2 Detective Training Course comprised of 25 aspiring investigators from the Jamaica Constabulary along with two from the Royal Montserrat Police Service. The Course seeks to enhance the range of knowledge and skills of aspiring investigators who will be appointed detectives upon completion of the course.
Mr. Jermey Taylor, Senior Deputy Director of Prosecutions was the key note speaker
The course was declared close by Superintendent Michael Morris, Administrative Director of the Faculty of Leadership and Professional Development.
